Meeting Voices have been singing together since 2000 I was delighted to take on the Musical Direction of Meeting Voices Community Choir in September 2014. The choir’s website is here.
We meet in Chard Town Hall (upstairs) on Wednesday evenings, 7.30 – 9.15. We sing and enjoy songs from around the world.
The atmosphere is deliberately informal, people feel welcome, supported and unpressurised.
New members are always welcome in our friendly group, however we do have a waiting list: so please phone Anne on 07743 362742 for more information. Taster sessions are available but it is necessary to book a place.
We currently have around 50 members who share a common joy of joining together in song. Here is a selection of their comments:
“All that matters is that you enjoy singing – even if you think you’re hopeless, you end up singing quite well!”
“The choir is the best thing in the whole week. Problems disappear and peace and happiness prevail”.
“Informal and friendly and a great feeling of community when we put all the song parts together – brilliant”
“It cheers you up no end! “However I feel when I come out, I come home smiling.”
“Great way to relax, have fun and make friends”
“Feels great singing together and I’m still singing all the way home.”
